Be a lead investigator for thehypothesis drivenprototype testing and optimizing the use ofnovelstationary phases,reagents, and / or chromatographydevices.
Contribute to interdisciplinary research by offeringinsights onapplications and method development.
Investigatestate-of-the-art consumable technologies and assist engineering and material science groups on design of experiments and new prototypes.
Protect newly developed intellectual property byleading thepreparation of invention disclosures and patent applications.
Facilitatea transition of research concepts into viableproduct developmentgoals.
Oversee and executetest strategies, prepare reports and provide internal presentations to summarize scientific findingswhilemaintaining alaboratoryor segment thereoffor the analysis of biological samples.
Work with other groups across Waters, including other R&D organizations and informaticians,tobuild new holisticallydesignedapproachesfor automated method development.

10+ years scientific experience ininanalytical chemistry,biochemistry, or related discipline
Post graduate degree or 12+ years with B.S. (desired)
Inventiveness andenthusiasm to pursue multiple scientific disciplines
Advanced scientific knowledgerelated tonativeaqueousseparations of biomolecules,includingSEC, IEX, and HIC chromatography
Experience in wielding chromatographic theory forLC method development
