The site in is growing and for our Biologics organization, we are currently looking for a Head MSAT Large Scale Mammalian (to join the Leadership Team for Large Scale Mammalian Operations) in , our recently launched unique biological manufacturing and development concept.
The successful candidate will build and lead a team of MSAT process experts, responsible for the successful transfer, scale up, supervision and optimization of biopharma processes in our IBEX Large Scale Manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities :
Planning & Supervision of MSAT activities to ensure successful process transfer into the Manufacturing Plant and ensuring that the processes are delivering the required products safely, timely, cost effective with the required quality.
Responsible for developing continuous improvement programs for the processes to reduce cost and increase productivity through Operational Excellence and Innovation initiatives
Responsible for the implementation of standardized MSAT Ibex® procedures and processes, ensure and manage the interfaces to Manufacturing Operations, Plant Engineering, Quality Assurance and Quality Control and other sites related to MSAT Large Scale Mammalian topics
Supporting the development of department goals and strategy within the MSAT Mammalian Large Scale Leadership team, in line with respect to overall goals of Lonza, the Lonza BU, the Ibex® site and the global MSAT organization
Representing MSAT Large Scale Mammalian during regulatory inspections and customer audits
Key requirements :
Bachelor / Master degree, PhD preferred in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Engineering or related disciplines
Substantial experience in the area of biopharma manufacturing and / or process development in the area of Mammalian Manufacturing
Broad experience in up- and downstream processing of cell culture technologies, preferable at large scale industrial manufacturing
Fluency in English
