  • You will further strengthen HAFL's expertise in international agriculture
  • In an interdisciplinary team, you will develop and lead projects of applied research
  • You will provide teaching at Bachelor and Master levels
  • You will also supervise thesis work
  • What you'll bring with you

  • A PhD in agricultural sciences, working experience in cropping systems in Latin America, Africa and Asia
  • Good knowledge of tropical crops and their production systems, especially for legumes, rice and vegetables; agroecology, climate smart agriculture and organic production
  • Experience and strong interest in teaching and in collaborating in / leading Applied Research for Development (AR4D) projects
  • Experience in participatory approaches and the use of modern tools (e.g. e-extension, crop modelling, precision farming) will be an advantage
  • Strong links with both international and Swiss agricultural research and development institutions, Fluency in English, and German or French. Spanish is an asset
