Job DescriptionAccountability Description1. Execute Small to medium projects end ot end exection as required by business needs.
Management of all aspects of a portfolio of capital projects (various sizes) including budgets, schedule, engineering (Non-process), construction, coordination and safety.
Execute against customer requirements with project goals, leads cross-functional teams works towards achieving project goals with respect to functionality, budget, safety, quality and schedule2.
Manage and monitors the activities of external engineering, construction managers and contractors on capital projects. Manages external support functions, such as : suppliers, vendors, engineering and construction contractors and consulting agencies3.
Provides support to Solothurn Manufacturing, Facilities and other site groups via post project investigations, studies and when applicable, consulting.
Support may extend to other sites as assigned 4. Assists with the review and implementation of internal policies and procedures as required for the continuous improvement of functional group operations including training, contract development and capital project execution proceduresThe employee will have responsibility for the execution of assigned tasks and hands-on project delivery of Process and Infrastructure CAPEX projects on site.
The employee will have minimal budgetary responsibility.The employee will have project wide interaction with internal and external clients, design contractors and construction contractors.
The employee will in most occasions report progress and / or project roadblocks with their Manager. Employee will have minimal interaction with Senior / Corporate Management.
Decision Making will be in keeping with the level of the employee. All tasks will be prioritized and executed to quality and schedule expectations.
Company procedures will be followed at all times in the execution of duties and tasks.QualificationsThe incumbent is required to have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
2 - 5 years of related industry experience or training or a combination of education, experience and trainingKnowledge of industry standards and guidelines, such as, AAALAC, ASME BPE, ISPE Baseline Guides, CFR’s, OSHA, etc.
Engineering and project management experience in facility construction and / or retrofits of operating facilities in the Pharmaceutical Industry with some exposure to engineering, construction, commissioning and / or validation of capital projects.
cost controlling and monthly project reporting.Experience in non-GMP project management preferredExcellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to lead diverse cross-functional teams.
Additional InformationAs a member of the Global Project Engineering team, you will be responsible for executing a portfolio of capital projects ranging from small to medium projects in the range up to $3MM.
Your primary role will be to execute end to end Design & Construction Projects. Duties will include Design management and coordination with internal departments and SME’s, design, procurement and contractor management, scope definition, internal customer communication and monthly reporting.
Where installations are required, construction supervision and progress management, scheduling / sequencing and site safety supervision.
This will be a role that will have significant impact on the Ongoing Operatoins so interfacing with Internal customer is a regular task.
