The Department of Mathematics andComputer Science at Colorado College invites applications for a tenure-trackposition at the Assistant Professor level in Mathematics to begin in August of2019.
We seek a mathematician with broad teaching interests who can teachintroductory as well as advanced mathematics courses to a diverse community ofstudents and mentor mathematics majors who are completing their senior theses.
While all areas of mathematics will be fully considered, we give preference tocandidates with research interests in applied mathematics, analysis,differential equations, mathematical models, combinatorics, computationalbiology, graph theory, numerical analysis, or data science.

One distinguishing feature of Colorado College is its Blockplan, in which professors teach, and students take, one course at a time.
Eachblock is three and a half weeks long, and professors teach five of the eightblocks in an academic year and devote the equivalent of one block tosupervising capstone projects.
