As mechanical engineer the candidate design of some of the most complex products and technologies in the field of power conversion, being challenged by multi-
disciplinary design problems involving mechanical integration of power electronics, electric and mechanic components.
Information research, calculation and simulation based evaluation of design alternatives
3D and 2D CAD design of parts and assemblies related to power electronic converters in grid applications and substations / electrical plants
Create and maintain material classification, part lists, configuration logic, drawings and various types of documents required by the operational business
Support production, collect feedback and resolve issues
Cost optimal high quality design in direct collaboration with SCM and suppliers
Design, plan and execute mechanical engineering related tests in the laboratory
Sporadic CAD library maintenance, parts standardization and homologation
Support colleagues with M-CAD / ERP toolchain operation and installation as reference / power user for M-CAD (SolidEdge, sometimes NX) and ERP (SAP with focus LO / VC) systems
BSc mechanical engineering, design & CAD background
A few years of experience working with product design for industrial usage
It s considered an advantage if you have experience in sheet metal design and understanding of the production processes for bent components and their cost influence
Proficient in English written / oral, German as an advantage
You are a strong team player that share knowledge and are open to others point of view.
Ability to derive models for FEM simulations (stiffness / vibration, thermal, electrical) based on CAD models, eventually experience with performing FEM simulations
