A challenging role in the portfolio and investment management team at Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners AG ("CSEIP"), a Credit Suisse investment boutique specializing in direct private equity investments within the energy infrastructure sector all over Europe.
CSEIP, through a number of institutional investment vehicles, invests in and manages projects, assets and companies across the entire energy value chain, such as hydroelectric power plants, electricity and gas networks, as well as wind and solar farms.
This newly created position will see the Analyst supporting asset managers in measuring and creating shareholder value in existing portfolio investments.
His / Her main tasks will consist of assisting in :
Defining, requesting and analyzing adequate company KPIs to monitor developments against investment thesis
Updating and improving valuation models to track investment performance
Assisting the company management, Board of Directors or other CSEIP representatives in the decision-making on company events by providing qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Key events include, for instance, changes in capital structure (distribution policy, refinancing), business strategy, hedging policy, governance, regulatory developments
Planning and preparing Advisory Board and / or Board of Directors' meetings, including any related administration
Monitoring and following-up on legal agreements in place with the company and other shareholders
Interacting with and coordinating various stakeholders such as valuation agent, Credit Suisse Group support functions (Fund Management, Legal Counsel, Compliance, Risk, etc.
CSEIP investors, external advisors
Following market environment and interact with advisors to monitor regulatory changes relevant to the portfolio companies
Writing and further developing periodic reports on the managed investments in companies for the attention of the investors and Investment Committees
Providing general ad hoc assistance to the investment management team in any analysis or reporting needed on a project, a portfolio or the market, to internal and external stakeholders
Curriculum demonstrating above-average results and business-relevant professional experience of 1-2 years (including internships)
Detail-oriented and problem-solving attitude, combined with appetite for complex legal and financial environment, to produce extra-mile analyses
Team player, always happy to help while also able to work proactively and independently when needed
Excellent communication skills
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and financial modeling
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge in French or German is a strong advantage
Previous experience in the electricity and / or energy industry is an advantage
