Our Product Unit Mechanisms is looking for an Electrical Engineer at our offices in Zurich.
Create purchasing specifications for electrical / electronic components, assemblies and devices (including firmware) for laboratory and / or space application
Create technical data packages for external assignments for the design and the production of electronics hardware and firmware
Support the design, manufacture, assembly, integration and testing of electronic devices (PCBs, sub-systems) and assure compliance to the specifications and the technical data package
Participate in reviews with suppliers and customers
Analyse and verify electronics schematics and layout by the means of computer-aided design and assure compliance to the specifications and the technical data package
Develop firmware or software for electronics hardware or laboratory test systems acording to specification and coding standards
Design, specificy and develop tests and test equipment for electronic assemblies or device verification
Document all activities in English according to the ESA and / or internal product or quality assurance standards and guidelines
Create simulations and analyzes (control engineering, reliability)
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronics hardware design : circuit design, simulation of the functionality using CAD and layout generation
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in lab environment with the test of PCBs and electrical / electronics systems using lab masurement instruments
Solid experience in planning, executing, documenting and analyzing tests of electrical / electronics boards and systems
Familiar and competent in writing technical documentation
Experience in programing of microprocessors and FPGAs is a strong asset
Technical understanding of space quality standards (ECSS-Q, PSS, MIL); EEE components know-how is a nice-to-have
Dynamic, solution-oriented person with strong analytical skills, able to cope with emotions and stress, who enjoys to manage multiple projects in international enviroment and understands other stakeholders’ constraints
Very good English knowledge (written and spoken); German is a strong asset
