We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to work on flexible perovskite solar cells for thin-film tandems application with a focus on developing highly efficient and long-
term stable semi-transparent perovskite solar cells using fully vacuum-based methods.
Your Tasks :
Development and optimization of fully-vapor-processed flexible perovskite solar cells and mini-modules.
Investigating the loss mechanisms in devices and exploring novel vapor passivation strategies.
Understanding the device degradation mechanisms and improving long-term operational stability.
Implementationof optimised perovskite top cell / mini-module into flexible perovskite / CuInSe2 thin-film tandem solar cells and mini-modules.
Disseminationof your results in project reports, peer-reviewed journals, and at international conferences.
Your Profile :
You have a master degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or closely related fields. Previous experience and knowledge in semiconductor physics would be an advantage.
The experimental nature of the work requires a very high level of experimental skills to operate sophisticated machines, independence to design and execute experiments / characterizations, and analytical mindset for interpreting measured data.
You are a team player and your strengths include taking personal responsibility, high motivation for innovation, excellence and flexibility to work and deliver results.
You have excellent verbal and written skills in English. Knowledge of German is beneficial but not mandatory.
