Job Description :

We are looking for new Supply Planners & Demand Planners to join our EMEA Supply Chain Head Office located in Langenthal, Bern, Switzerland.

Overall Mission

The Supply Chain Planner is performing an integrated / combined function of Demand Planning (DP) and Central Management of Inventory (CMI) across Europe, supporting the Demand Management and S&OP Process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Local- & European counterparts (i.e. Manufacturing / Sales & Marketing / Inventory Control / Business Logistics Management / Business Development Management)
  • Maintain demand planning parameters in Demand Planning tool
  • Optimize statistical forecast in Demand Planning tool
  • Review & process of market intelligence input
  • Support European / Country Demand Reviews
  • Direct responsibility for product availability
  • Provide input to MPS on replenishment plans for manufacturing, vendors and converters
  • Manage a distribution plan including replenishment release Manages and resolves supply plan exceptions with demand and manufacturing planning that balances demand with supply on a day to day basis
  • Resolve supply plan exceptions with Countries and manufacturing planning
  • Maintain DRP parameters to meet European inventory and service targets
  • Responsible for rebalancing inventory in short supply situations based upon business rules and guidelines
  • Handle phase in / phase out projects
  • Support New Product Introductions
  • Responsible for meeting NWI objectives
  • Support Supply Reviews
  • Participates in S&OP process as key member of business team
  • Support SKU & Portfolio Management
  • Responsible for what-if simulations and analysis on Demand & Inventory Management
  • Responsible for supply chain optimization and improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for project management initiatives
  • Manage complex business scenario
  • Skills & Experience

  • Experience in planning or similar logistics role
  • Inventory control, materials management / production planning with substantial contribution
  • SAP experience and PC literate including Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge

  • Supply chain principles and inventory control, planning systems, forecasting techniques and statistics
  • Knowledge of deployment planning techniques and manufacturing planning principles
  • Knowledge of sales marketing principles and of S&OP process principles
  • Demand and DRP planning tool skills

  • Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business & Engineering (Industrial Engineer), IT
  • APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certified - Desirable
