We are looking for a CMI Director Hair Portfolio. This is a team leadership role in the Global CMI function. You will overlook both professional & retail hair businesses and help the company make strategic choices across the portfolio of hair brands.

You will lead a team of at least 5 CMI brand team members. The role is reporting to the Head of Global Consumer & Market Insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of CMI managers across hair brands, including coaching, priority setting, long-term goals definition, performance reviews
  • Help drive strategic decisions that would enable total hair portfolio growth
  • Provide a holistic view of global hair category and it’s growth opportunities
  • Ensure that brand portfolio strategy and architecture is rooted in consumer needs and category segmentations
  • Partner with CMI Director of Data & Analytics to develop & provide best solutions for the Business Teams
  • Partner with CMI country teams to source the local insights and ensure that global initiatives are fit-for-use in the key markets
  • Drive consumer-centric decision-making across the organization.
  • Manage market research budget of professional and retail hair categories.
  • Lead knowledge management of Hair Category, make sure the learnings are accessible to the entire organization
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensure the best-in-class practices are adopted in the global CMI team, be on top of the latest market research techniques and tools
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 10 years of consumer insights experience preferably in the hair or beauty industry
  • A minimum of 5 years in a regional or global role
  • Ideally at least 5 years of team management experience
  • Bringing both B2B and B2C experience preferred
  • Experience in leading market research projects end-to-end, from design to activation of learnings
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data analysis and statistics, ability to draw out insights from research
  • Proficiency in all key aspects of brand building excellence, understanding of mental & physical availability drivers, insight generation, concept development and qualification
  • Solid understanding of qualification principles for new product launches, restages and commercial innovation
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record translating insights into business growth
  • Well-balanced mindset between analytical skills and story-telling capabilities
  • High level of maturity, excellent communication and influencing skills across organizational levels
  • Supplier management skills have strong network of agencies, institutes, or industry experts
  • Resilience, ability to manage many priorities and stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving attitude and can do working approach
