Your Duties
Identification and application of Project Controlling best practices
Development of detailed Projects Cost Structures and coding under the Standard Work Breakdown Structures for various project types
Support of tendering teams in all commercial aspects
Implementation and reconciliation of Project budget and forecast in the ERP.
Close collaboration with Project Management and other project stakeholders
Application of cost allocation and project accounting principles to ensure accurate cost reporting
Compiling, monitoring, reporting, and presenting project performance (project cost, P&L, revenue, cash, change orders and claims
Compute and inform Country Controller of accruals to be booked based on physical progress achieved
Performance of variance analysis and development of effective strategies and recovery plans to bring cost in line with budget
Maintenance of a change register and incorporation of approved changes in the project budget and forecast as well as communication of approved changes to the Project Management team
Identification of trends and quantifying cost variances, collecting and recording trends and reflecting the approved trend impacts in the project forecast
Lead preparation of the cost to complete estimate
Participation and support in risk and opportunities assessments
Monitoring transactions in foreign currencies and quarterly preparation of the Hedge Effectiveness test to support the Project Hedging strategies when applicable.
Preparation of customer invoices and follow up cash collection
Liaising with the client
Support of contract management and Project manager on claims and change orders and other contractual obligations, and work with corporate treasury group to meet all bonding requirements.
Make sure internal controls are in place and effective
Supporting resource load planning
Performance and coordination of ad-hoc analysis and support
Provide necessary support to the Country controller for the preparation of position papers
Adherence of all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
Assistance of project management in developing and enforcing lessons learned within the company
Your Profile
Minimum of 5 years professional experience
Bachelor’s Degree with relevant focus or similar degree
Profound knowledge and interest in finance, project management and cost management
To gather and analyze data, draw conclusions from it and make relevant recommendations is your strong suit
You have a high-quality standard paying attention to the detail
You thrive working cross-functionally in a matrix organization and manage to effectively deliver under minimal direct supervision
You act in an assertive, decisive, and confident way and proof yourself to be resilient with an open-minded way of thinking
You have a knack for building solid relationships through your strong communication abilities
Expertise in using MS Excel, Kowledge of Oracle is a plus
Fluent German and English skills are mandatory
