With global departments dedicated to research and development in computer vision, machine learning, haptics, social interaction, and more, AR / VR is committed to driving the state of the art forward through relentless innovation.

The potential to change the world is immense - and we're just getting , movement and expression, we aim to make it possible for people to feel like they are directly in front of each other, despite being separated by vast , you will be researching and developing state of the art computer vision and machine learning technologies for solving challenges that bridge virtual and real worlds and can impact billions of people.

You will be setting technical direction for the projects you work on and will have opportunities to collaborate with researchers in Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) and Facebook AI Research (FAIR).

There are lots of exciting and challenging unsolved problems in computer vision and machine learning for AR / VR. Required Skills : 1.

Develop creative computer vision and tracking software for a variety of Oculus products2. Plan and execute cutting-edge research to advance Oculus product development3.

Develop novel real-time 3D scene reconstruction techniques and delivering accurate visual odometry systems4. Apply machine learning to computer vision problems5.

Perform research that enables modeling and tracking the human body6. Research and prototype techniques and algorithms for object detection and recognition7.

Develop robust software for integrating multiple sensors and tracking systems8. Collaborate with HW and SW engineers to develop prototype solutions for tracking, detection and modeling Minimum Qualifications : 9.

Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree or postdoctoral assignment in the field of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, Robotics or similar10.

3+ years experience with computer vision - specifically real-time tracking (, hands, bodies, faces) or 3D reconstruction gained during their PhD11.

2+ years of experience engineering in C++ or Python including time during their PhD12. Experience with computer vision / machine learning libraries such as OpenCV, Matlab, or Torch13.

Knowledge in machine learning, Bayesian filtering, information theory, and 3D geometry Preferred Qualifications : 14. Professional industry experience in the field of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, Robotics or similar15.

Publication track record at conferences such as SIGGRAPH, CVPR, NIPS, ECCV, ICCV, ISMAR, ICML, etc. Industry : Internet
