Join our team Because our jobs offer more than elsewhere. The clinical research group of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology is looking for a scientist with an interest in clinical and biomechanical research in Hip / Pelvis surgery / Traumatology under the guidance of Prof.
Dr. Karl Stoffel, PhD (team leader hip and pelvis surgery). We have a close cooperation with the Functional Biomechanics Group at the University of Basel and the AO Research Institute in Davos.
For our expanding and international team at the Departement of Orthopaedics and Traumatology we are looking for a
Postdoctoral Fellow 50%
Your responsibilities :
Responsible for projects, from experimental work to drafting manuscripts
Present research results at meetings and engage in result publication
Review literature and analyze data
Develop hypotheses and experimental plans mainly for bioengineering / trauma related projects
Develop figures and manuscripts for publications
Your qualifications :
PhD or MD / PhD ideally with a background in biomedical research
Preferably 1 - 2 years of postdoctoral experience
Background in assay development and validation
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
Excellent track record
High degree of motivation and organization ideally with a record of scientific accomplishments with manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals
Self-starter with the ability to thrive a project within a multidisciplinary team
Preferably experience with statistics
