advise and support the bank’s management and private banking business
develop, review and advise on the bank’s general cross-border framework
collaborate closely with a wide range of international locations within the Julius Baer Group
independently manage client complaints and contentious issues; including the collaboration with external counsel in litigation proceedings
draft, review and negotiate agreements and correspondence with clients and authorities
support strategic projects within the bank
monitor legal and regulatory trends in Swiss and foreign laws and regulations; implement respective measures in the bank’s risk mitigation process
hold internal presentations, trainings and actively share know-how
You'll be working in the Legal Private Banking team, located in either Zurich or Geneva. We act as legal advisors of our Swiss and international private bankers, clients and the Private Banking Management covering a great variety of legal matters and as such, no two days are the same.
a law degree and admittance to the bar preferably in Switzerland; additional qualifications (Ph.D. / LL.M.) would be an asset
2 to 3 years of professional experience as a lawyer in the banking industry (preferably in private banking) or as an associate in a major law firm
excellent social skills with a good sense of humor and the ability to influence and persuade others
Very dynamic, flexible, capable of working independently and in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, solution-oriented, reliable and a good communicator, capable of coping with pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in either German or French. English communication skills are required in any case, other languages are an advantage.
