Position Responsibilities

  • Strategically and tactically directs Case Management Business Operations activities. Manages development and implementation of policies and procedures originating from the departmental objectives.
  • Ensures productivity of the teams by measuring overall efficiency and effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Conducts detailed analysis of critical business functions to support the allocation of resources across multiple functional area teams to facilitate achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Translates strategy into operational endpoints by implementing processes, policies and procedures to maintain compliance with domestic and international regulations.
  • Assists in audit readiness plans to ensure the highest state of preparedness. Assists in the conduct of Regulatory Authority inspections and audits.
  • Proactively identifies key issues and impacted business unit owners to facilitate resolution of issues under analysis. Collaborates, delivers and implements timely responses to identified issues.
  • Based upon analysis of product pipeline, case volume and case complexity, forecasts anticipated resource demands across multiple functional areas and deploy resources accordingly.
  • Demonstrates intellectual capability and commitment, enabling a high degree of adaptability in dealing with an ambiguous and complex work environment, which includes demands not only from respective teams but from regulatory agencies, alliance partners and PV local markets.
  • Ensures that Direct Reports adhere to departmental, R&D and global single case reporting requirements.
  • Provides candid feedback and creates an environment that fosters developmental opportunities to enhance and retain talent in the organization.
  • Together, with peers and direct reports, participates in the hiring of skilled new employees for the Case Management Business Operations team.
  • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. / B.A.) in Life Science, Nursing, Regulatory Affairs, Chemistry or Pharmacy preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience (or equivalent) in processing adverse event reports, designing processes to ensure compliance with domestic and international safety reporting requirements and utilizing databases to support gamut of pharmacovigilance activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex information gathered from a variety of sources and, through effective decision-making and planning, deliver superior business solutions.
  • Capable of quantitatively forecasting present and future resource demand and utilizing resources across functions to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience, at multiple levels within the company, through various formats, i.
  • e. presentations, written proposals, reports, correspondence, leading meetings and direct dialogue.

  • Experience in working with a range of technically and culturally diverse people, influencing them to accomplish common goal.
