The position can start as early as 15.8.2022 or later (starting date to be fixed upon agreement between candidate and Prof.

Delley). The topic of the research project is 'Electric field-assisted catalysis by immobilized molecular complexes'. This PhD project spearheads exciting new research directions in the Delley group and includes inorganic synthesis of molecular complexes, advanced surface chemistry, electrochemistry, and specialized spectroscopy.

This PhD position is associated with the NCCR MSE and hence the student will have the opportunity to interact with a highly interdisciplinary and diverse research center.

Your profile

Candidates must be highly motivated, should recently have obtained a Master degree in chemistry or a related discipline, and bring a solid chemical background.

Experience in experimental inorganic or organometallic chemistry and synthesis, electrochemistry, or spectroscopy are preferred.
