The (Associate / Senior) Director of Cell Therapies is responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team performing R&D in support of Vector BioPharma’s cell therapy portfolio.
The team leader is responsible for planning and conducting scientific research, developing and leading his / her own team, and analyzing, interpreting and communicating scientific results under the directives of the senior management.
The team leader will focus on developing and advancing Vector BioPharma’s gene delivery platform with a focus on applications in cell therapy, particularly in the delivery of CAR-T via gene therapy approaches.
The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in the fields of CAR-T, T cell biology, and gene therapy, and be familiar with humanized mouse models in order to coordinate preclinical experiments with the preclinical team leader and with external CROs.
The team leader must possess excellent verbal and written scientific English communication skills and have experience managing cross-functional collaborations within an organization and with external partners.
He / she must have up-to-date knowledge of pertinent literature in the field of cell therapy, cancer immunotherapy, gene therapy and biotechnology at large.
