About the team you are joining

You will be working alongside the Assistant Managers ITSService Desk (GVA) while reporting to the Manager IT Operations & GlobalService Desk (YMQ).

The Intern Service Desk Officer is part of a Global ServiceDesk team and is responsible for delivering service level 1 support to all IATAusers in GVA.

What your day would be like

  • Resolve complex problems and implement solutions;
  • Focus on maintaining the IT environment (PC, printers, cellphones) with a Professional attitude and service;
  • Provide Service Desk coverage during business hours forcustomers reporting incidents or seeking assistance in using the standardoffice automation desktop environment, applications;
  • Ensure meticulous call logging of all incoming call;
  • Ensure regular Customer communication and service delivery first level software and hardware support;
  • Escalate problems to the other ITS teams according toprocedures;
  • Share expert knowledge.

    You have recently graduated (withinone year) of an IT degree

    We are especially looking forcandidates who have :

  • Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office application suite and Adobe applications;
  • Excellentoral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of an additionallanguage is an asset;
  • Abilityto remain calm, courteous and efficient in emergency situations;
  • Strongcustomer focus and interpersonal skills in a global environment;
  • Abilityto work as part of a global team;
  • Requiresa high level of knowledge of multiple complex software packages, hardware andnetwork;
  • Experiencewith user administration in Active Directory;
  • Knowledgeof basic hardware components.
