The Oracle developer ensures the support, the adaptation and creation of CEMLIs (configuration, extension, modification, localisation, and integration).

The developer also helps to solve operational issues with the eBusiness Suite if processes fail and cooperates in this with Oracle Advanced Cloud Services (our hosting partner) and Oracle Product Support.

Together with a second developer and the technical manager he is part of the ERP technical team.

The developer will support the technical manager in certain Systems Management and planning tasks like scheduling Requests for Change with Oracle for the Periodic Maintenance Plan etc.

The developer also will have to become the back-up to the external consultant who is currently in charge of the Data Warehouse and the ORBIT reporting tool.

Operations related :

  • Investigate bugs and malfunctioning of the software
  • Propose solutions, be them code changes, data adaptations, or sometimes adaptations of procedures
  • Liaise with the relevant parties if other software layers are creating interferences (operating system, network, etc.)
  • Project related :

  • Participate in the technical specification of code which is not available in the standard Oracle software
  • Program the missing code, unit-test them, and make the necessary corrections if shortcomings are identified in the later user acceptance phase
  • Participate in the code installation
  • Specific Tasks

  • To be defined in function of the exact profile which we can recruit. The talent we are looking for is rather scarce
  • Social skills

  • University degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of the following :
  • Database : Oracle 12c or higher version Languages : PL / SQL, SQL*Plus Tools : Oracle Forms and Reports, XML Publisher, TOAD, Sql-developer, Workflow Builder, Forms personalisations.
  • Html, Java, Business Intelligence reporting tool. OS : Linux Source Control : CVS, Tortoise CVS ERP : Oracle E-Business Suite 12.

    2 (Finances, Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing, Depot Repair, Install Base, Discrete Manufacturing) Support : My Oracle Support Html, Java,

  • Knowledge of a Business Intelligence tool, preferably one closely linked to an ERP system.
  • At least 3 years experience with the above or a similar environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and act as the technical sparring partner for the business analysts
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Likes to combine project work with support tasks.
  • Highly professional with a strong customer service orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines and ability to multitask in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • English is a must. Good French skills are an advantage.
  • Only Swiss citizens and EU citizens with valid work permit will be considered
