Entreprise : This position is located in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Policy Section, Science, Technology and ICT Branch of the Division on Technology and Logistics of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer reports to Chief of the Section, and manages the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and the follow-up of the ICT Policy Section's programme on E-commerce and the Digital Economy (ECDE Programme).
Description du poste : Within delegated authority, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the following duties :
Ensures that the results-based framework of the Monitoring and Evaluation of the ECDE Programme is up to date; develops and applies the data collection, analysis and reporting tools for the ECDE Programme;
drafts progress reports for donors and Technical Cooperation Service of UNCTAD on the ECDE Programme achievements; revises and supports staff on the drafting of individual trust funds reports;
generates financial statements on projects allotments, expenditures and budget balance; reports ECDE Programme results in Umoja;
coordinates activities related to budget.
Manages contractual relationship and responds to requests from donors; drafts proposals and coordinates marketing efforts for the ECDE Programme;
provides feedback on, or undertakes as required, project planning and its implementation, including through the facilitating of workshops or other type of meetings that shall assist donors in the operationalization of the project; organizes donors' meeting.
Participates in the implementation and monitoring of ECDE Programme key activities; monitors and analyzes programme / project development and implementation;
reviews relevant documents and reports; identifies problems and issues to be addressed and proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties;
identifies and tracks follow-up actions.
Develops results stories and news items on ECDE Programme achievements, lesson learned or research issues; Organizes missions to beneficiary countries and organizes donors' roundtables to support project implementation and document results and lessons;
