To strengthen the team, we are looking for a figure of :
MECHANICAL ENGINEER VIP ENGINEERING
Mission :
Integrated within the Engineering department, the Mechanical Engineer performs / manages / follows / supervises mechanical activities on project.
The Mechanical Engineer designs our clients design principles and will ensure / check that there are well integrated / applied all along the project
Tasks
Prepare and collect all data, clarify quotation, valid and secure hours sold, and assumptions.
Design mechanical design principle and system architecture during the project upfront phase
Define the mechanical interfaces properly with supplier, ensure various support and follow-up
Distribute and prioritize tasks and sub-projects among the project assigned staff about the available workforce capacity, staff skills, and tasks constraints discipline level (optional)
Realize engineering 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts, assembly, and installation drawings as per :
Engineering mechanical design rules and processes (material and processes guideline, sheet metal rules, machined rules, standard and fasteners selection and installation rules, bonding, and grounding .)
CPR instructions
BIGs
Projects milestones o Quality required.
Motivate and guide permanent or temporary assigned staff to reach the goals (schedule, quality, and cost) set by the projects / department / JA / GD discipline level (optional)
Ensure a design to weight and design to cost approach following project requirement - discipline level
React and address risk items immediately to N+1, identify and chase project roadblocks, and identify gaps between the activity performed and the scope sold to the customer.
Involve all relevant expertise (Production Engineering, stress, CVE, Flammability, shops ) to secure your activity
Rework (Revision, DS, Concession ) on 3D Parts, assembly drawing, and installation drawing
Comply with the current working and safety regulations
Act as a change specialist during the PIR phase if required
Prepare-Check-Release certification and compliance documentation - on a small project - optional.
Participate and / or witness tests and prepare the corresponding report as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a functional area or related professional field from an accredited university
Minimum of 5 years in VIP Engineering mechanical domains and Management
Proficient with CAE & CAD tools (i.e. AutoCAD, Catia V5, Siemens NX, TeamCenter, etc.), and Microsoft Office
Good and positive communication, team spirit
Comfortable working in a stressful and highly demanding environment
Language English (mandatory), French and / or German (nice to have)
