We are looking for a motivated and passionate trainee for a period of six months to join our development department in the area of RF Interconnect Components.
In this Trainee position, you will support our R+D team in the fundamental development of broadband data transmission in the THz frequency band with polymer waveguides.
These future-oriented connectivity solutions bridge the gap between today's copper cable and fiber optic transmissions. You will develop, simulate and test cables, connectors and test adapters in close collaboration with our partners in the semiconductor industry.
In addition, you will support the enhancement of our database for high-frequency simulations. This tool is an important global support for customer-specific simulations in the development phase.
The focus here is on the creation of RF simulations, as well as the
elaboration and dispatch of simulation models to interested parties around the world. In addition, our simulation models should be updated to support the new board connectors for the High Speed Digital Testing (HSDT) market as well.
Ideally, you are currently doing your studies in high frequency, electrical engineering or electronic and telecommunication technology and you are looking to access the professional world by gaining practical experience in a global oriented company.
For this Traineeship you have already some experiences in high-frequency 3D field simulations (Ansys HFSS / Dassault Systems CST) and scripting languages, such as Python and / or other programming languages.
You should also have knowledge of HTML and XML as well as a good and solid technical understanding, know the common MS-Office applications and having the ability to work in a structured, self-reliant and persevering way.
