Holcim announced in September 2020 the Net Zero Pledge, , we have to further develop various Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technologies with the objective of having 2030 economically viable solutions at industrial scale.

  • CCUS plays an important role with more than 30 projects being worked on currently and still increasing. Holcim is not focusing on a single technology;
  • the scope is quite broad, involving several people at local, regional and corporate level.

    In order to develop and manage CCUS technologies and give best support to the countries in integrating new technologies in the cement manufacturing environment, technical activities need to be coordinated amongst various players.

  • Scouting and evaluating promising technologies in the field of CCUS
  • Evaluating and selecting together with countries promising CCUS technologies and CO2 solutions in the scope of specific projects
  • Integrating new Carbon Capture systems applied in other industries or completely new technologies in the cement environment and developing internal intellectual property, including specific tie-in options, advanced heat integration etc.
  • Initiate, plan and drive CO2 capture technologies tests and CCUS projects at global level together with regional teams, support them in preparing funding applications
  • Coaching and empowering project teams in the countries and regions in order to drive CCUS projects and / or studies.
  • Coordination between stakeholders at global level in the field of CCUS
  • Share, spread out knowledge and best practices
  • Education / Qualifications

  • Engineering or equivalent technical Masters degree
  • Additional business certificate is a plus
  • Experience

  • Technical leadership, preferably in CCUS technologies
  • Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
  • Manufacturing background, preferably in cement industry
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Curiosity, open to extend activity scope
  • Agile and innovative mindset
  • Business / financial acumen
  • Strong communication and influencing skills (lead without being formally in charge)
  • Result oriented
  • Resilience and perseverance
  • Language Requirements

    Fluency in English (oral and written). Any other language is a plus.
