Description du poste : Description de poste Position Purpose : The FCRS Consolidation Head is responsible for the month end closing in the FCRS system to meet the internal and external financial reporting requirements.
In order to ensure accurate and timely monthly actual consolidated figures the FCRS Consolidation Head works closely with the Head Alcon C&R and the other groups forming C&R, Technical accounting, Alcon External Reporting and local affiliates.
The primary role includes reviewing the submitted financial data, review of consolidation bookings, providing reporting guidance and answering to accounting reporting queries.
Further responsibility include : (a) providing input into future Alcon processes in collaboration with Alcon FRA leadership (b) owning and implementing changes to the FCRS system;
c) compliance with Alcon financial reporting requirements; (d) closely collaborate with Alcon BPA to review external press release data. Major Accountabilities :
FCRS month end closing : Ensuring timely collection of monthly reporting data from reporting units and perform reviews to assuring reliability and accuracy of financial reporting data
Developing and reviewing booking of global consolidation entries
Preparing and presenting monthly consolidation results at different currency scenarios including calculation of transaction gains and losses
Coordinating with the Reporting leads to complete the monthly financial results
Managing timely and complete data submission to Alcon External Reporting, maintaining divisional SOX controls for the consolidation process
Reporting analysis and guidance : Working closely with local affiliates to ensure qualitative and timely reporting data and following-
up on resolution of identified issues
Developing, performing and approving FCRS related data quality reviews
Performing FCRS reconciliation with published figures
Providing training to the countries with a special focus on reporting areas
Interactions include : o Alcon FRA leadership, and Alcon Group BPA, Marketing & Technical Operations
Country FRA FCRS System maintenance and update : o Ensuring the integrity, viability, and accuracy of the global financial reporting processes and systems o Participating in the design, test, decision-
making and implementation of FCRS system enhancements and reporting changes, including change management and communication o Working with ERP teams on system or reporting changes
Participate in the following Consolidation & Reporting processes : o Impairment tests o Preparing for quarterly balance sheet review and monthly profit and loss analysis o Ensuring flawless country specific data and analysis by developing and performing regular quality checks and trend analysis
Collaboration with the Alcon C&R team in : o Sharing best practice in financial reporting o Attending country Financial Statement reviews o Identifying and remediating financial reporting issues o Collaboration with Region FRA and country FSCs o Answering to accounting queries, preparing and reviewing Accounting Position Papers, and sharing best practice in reporting Description du profil : Exigences minimales Your profile :
University level degree in Accounting / Finance or Business Administration / Technology-related Engineering / MBA desirable
Fluent in English both written and spoken, other languages are a plus
Relevant work experience of 15 years with strong background in : Financial Reporting & Accounting or Public Accounting (big 4 experience)
Financial Reporting systems : experience acquired in global consolidation and evaluating reporting systems
