Manages the strategic planning, coordination and implementation of IOC human rights work.* Coordinates the development of a human rights' due diligence process for IOC, monitors and evaluates effectiveness and reports on advancement.
Develops and tracks strategic relationships with key stakeholders on human rights, including the development of a human rights database.
Represents the IOC in appropriate external engagements on human rights.* Coordinates the relationship with a wide range of other departments necessary for the implementation of the IOC human rights strategy and supports those departments in their implementation of their related activities.
Works closely with the Public Affairs Manager and Advocacy Officer to build and implement human rights positioning as a strategic issue for the IOC.
Supports ad-hoc Public affairs events' organization (panels, workshops, etc.). Preparation and planning
Performs projects feasibility study and analysis of return on investment, and formalises the project definition and establishes the project plan* Manages sub-contractors (formalising needs, drafting calls for tender, comparing offers and establishing contracts, overseeing the partnership and service provision) Managing project teams
Puts together the required project teams, around a shared vision, working rules and the engagement and open-mindedness of each member* Leads the team, recognises its successes, deals with obstacles and addresses conflicts* Organises the team meetings and manages the practical functioning of these (e.g.
minutes, document management, etc.)* Reports regularly on project progress Coordination and monitoring of activities
Is responsible for ensuring respect of deadlines, quality of the deliverable and project budget* Follows up the project using indicators (quality, deadlines, budget and risks).
Coordinates the implementation of the project with the project team and various stakeholders (managing the change with those impacted). Steering the project
Gives regular progress reports to the Head of Public Affairs (indicators, slippage, obstacles, etc.)* Ensures formal validation of the key project phases is obtained.
Establishes the end-of-project report and project closure (documents the experience / knowledge acquired) Training, language and IT skills
University degree in social sciences - political sciences, international relations or law (Masters, bachelor's degree, federal diploma, etc.).
Studies directly related to human rights are required.* 5 years of professional experience with human rights due diligence and related processes (such as risk analysis and the operation of grievance mechanisms).
3 years of project management experience, in particular of complex and multi-stakeholder projects -Project management certification, and experience managing capacity-building programmes an advantage.
Knowledge of IOC's vision, mission, operations and strong identification with IOC's capacity to build a better world through sport and represent IOC's interests.
English or French fluency, with excellent writing and speaking level of the other language.* Excellent command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
