The Position

The Launch Lead in the PLaNT organization is an individual contributor position in the area of Parenteral Launch and New Technologies Stream Kaiseraugst , which serves as a project lead for new product launches, site to site transfers, CAPEX projects, technical investments, divestments and other projects.

In this role, the Launch Lead will

Be responsible in collaboration with local and global partners for planning and execution of tech transfers, CAPEX and other projects across different technologies (biologic DP, FG, small molecule FG, combination products)

Own key project milestones

Build and lead local project teams, serve as team player in global teams

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

Work collaboratively and act as a servant leader leading the local project team. Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information to facilitate decisions in respective project teams

Resource & budget planning for respective projects, support sourcing decision and site selection process

For new product launches acts as a site tech transfer lead

Ensure transparency and proactive communication in the team to local and global partners

Responsible for change control oversight in respective projects

In collaboration with other partners develop validation strategy and ensure smooth execution

Strive for significant improvement and reduction of project timeline, evaluate scenarios to reduce project costs and establish lean and robust processes

Planning and preparation of credit applications in collaboration with sponsor and other stakeholders

Facilitate right first time mindset

Role model agile mindset, in partnership with key stakeholders, play a pivotal role in evolving our manufacturing and technology transfers processes to apply agile principles and technology advances and leverage LPS methodology

Partner with Strategic Operations and Lean Academy (SOLA) and contribute to develop a forward thinking, customer focused strategic business plan

Proven ability to lead and align an organization for complex technical projects; experience developing / realizing a vision and multi-year strategies in DP and FG Technologies

Strong understanding of manufacturing and research business drivers and triggers to build environment and infrastructure for the future

Ability to navigate and influence the global PT and Roche cultures, including new agile ways of working and leveraging LPS tools and methodology.

Demonstrated experience and success with building networks and collaborating with key senior level partners, including VS Leads, Site Heads, PTG leads

A solution-oriented and can-do attitude combined with a new way of thinking and mindset that serves as the basis for the success of the organization

Understands right to operate, governance, sustainability, and best practices in communication and engagement

Qualifications / Requirements :

Minimum of 5 years of relevant bio / pharmaceutical experience including significant functional / cross-functional group management

A BS / BA degree in life sciences, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, advanced degree (e.

g., an MBA) is favorable

Excellent communications skills in English and at least a basic level of the German language

In-depth practical experience in a high-performance learning and development culture

A fundamental, working understanding of safety, quality systems, and quality assurance concepts are required including the application of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

Proven ability to lead in matrix able to inspire and motivate teams to make a big impact and deliver their best every day.

Track record of having the courage to drive change, while balancing risks and pacing for success

Advanced analytical skills and financial acumen : capable of analyzing financial, quantitative, and / or qualitative data and translating into high-impact learnings and recommendations

Demonstrated success consistently in meeting performance metrics and ensuring the successful project execution
