Scientific Communications Director has key impact on how we communicate our medical data and transform patient care.
Your Responsibilities :
Drives development and implementation of global scientific communication plan for assigned brand(s), as well as execution of global medical education activities, including scientific events, preceptorships, CME programs etc.
Accountable for leading a cross-functional publication team and development and execution of publication plan
Accountable for all brand-related scientific communication with internal customers (e.g. Country organization, Medical Information, Corporate Communication, Pharma Communication, Social Media, Digital and Investor Relations) in collaboration with Global Medical Affairs & Global Program Team.
Establish strong working relationships and actively collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders (such as Med Info, Global Program Teams, Global Drug Development, legal / regulatory, medical experts, speakers, consultants, and professional societies).
Manage all aspects of publication and medical education agencies in support of scientific communications. Identify and screen appropriate vendors, solicit, evaluate and approve proposals
Ensure compliance with all legal regulatory and Novartis requirements for scientific communications (publications and medical education materials) working closely with functional excellence leads within Scientific Engagement and Communications.
Manage all financial and contractual aspects of assigned projects, including vendor negotiations in collaboration with procurement.
Develop yearly budget for scientific communication activities for assigned product(s)
What you’ll bring to the role :
Advanced degree in life science / healthcare / medicine with at least 3-5 years in pharmaceutical industry
Fluent English (oral and written)
Demonstrated capability in scientific communication
Proven ability to work independently, to deliver in a multidisciplinary matrix environment (including remote), and to interact with investigators and authors.
Ability to understand, interpret and present complex medical / scientific data.
Proven to successfully leverage new technologies / IT solutions for the implementation of Medical Affairs, Development and / or Marketing strategies.
Proven project management skills : project design, stakeholder alignment and management, implementation and success measures.
