Job Description Summary
Leads the Team of HVAC and Cold Rooms
Ensures the availability and capacity of all HVAC serving the the Clean Rooms and all other areas including Coldroom and Freezer room to meet the required defined process conditions
Ensures the safe, the efficient, the reliable, the cost-effective operation and the maintenance activities of all HVAC systems including Cold and Freezer Rooms
Encourages a culture of team work, value driven operations and continuous improvement into the Team of HVAC and Cold Rooms
In line with the Utility strategy, leads the HVAC and Cold Rooms Team to ensure the safe, the efficient, the reliable, the cost-
effective operation and the maintenance activities of all HVAC and Cold Room systems
Supports the Utility management as well as team leaders from other departments in relation to HVAC and Cold Rooms systems as System Owner
Provides support for HVAC and Cold , Freezer Room systems during GMP audits and inspections
Conducts regular Safety reviews together with EHSS and implements the requird Safety procedures of the systems and equipment
Establishes monthly department reports to the Head of Utilities
Is part of the on duty service team (2nd Level Support)
Encourages a culture of team work, value driven operations and continuous improvement within the Team of HVAC and Cold Rooms
Informs, trains and sensitized the team employees concerning new technologies about HVAC and Cold Room systems
Ensures the exchange of know-how between the CSL sites regarding HVAC and Cold Room systems
Utility specific functions
Ensures availability and capacity of all HVAC and Cold Room systems to meet required product output
Responsible to provide the quality of all HVAC and Cold Room systems according to GMP requirements and specifications
Is System Owner for all HVAC and Clean Rooms systems
Ensures that all employees are working according to all SOP’s in place needed to run and maintain all HVAC and Cold Room systems
Supports and implements sustainable energy and energy recovery techniques where applicable
Documents measuring, energy consumption, use of resources and other relevant emissions according to GxP and Quality regulations
Develops and updates KPI’s to demonstrate adequate availability and quality of all HVAC and Cold and freezer Room systems
Drafts project proposals for upgrades and expansions of HVAC and Cold Room systems aligned with growth and replacement strategy
Skills and experience :
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Process or Chemical Engineering or local equivalent
5+ years' experience in manufacturing industrial operations and project engineering
5+ years' experience in Engineering within a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation or in a pharmaceutical operation
Strong employee management skills
Functional knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facility
Financial experience with high level budgetary responsibilities is required
