The Post-Doc position is available as part of an EU FET network grant on 3D bioprinting of pancreatic tissue for biomedical research , and will contribute to the SNF Sinergia grant A 3D Cell-Based Simulation Framework for Morphogenetic Problems with Prof Bastien Chopard (Uni Geneva).
The Post-Doc position will focus on the analysis of light-sheet microscopy data with a view to develop an atlas of organ development that can be used to inform bioengineering efforts, and that will be used in the cell-based modelling and simulation.
The atlas may be complemented with information from scRNASeq and in situ images. The ideal candidate has prior experience with image processing of microscopy data and potentially with the analysis of RNASeq data.
The successful applicant must be self-motivated and enthusiastic to use cutting image processing algorithms and software, and to develop novel algorithms that enable ambitious, cutting-edge research at the interphase of developmental and computational biology.
