Core Accountabilities :

Partner with product managers, product owners, tech leads, and directly with our business stakeholders to understand product strategy, build a cohesive architecture, and lead technical implementation of the solutions.

Work across the technology team to ensure Alcon’ end to end systems architecture is well designed, implemented and documented.

Define solutions to mitigate dependencies / rework across platforms, products and initiatives Partner with test and release teams to ensure smooth product launch, recommending areas of operational improvements.

Partner with the product group owner to develop a long term strategy for the products, a technical vision, and technically lead the group to greatness.

Explore new areas of innovation in the Digital space and provide thought leadership for technical and business teams. Participate in and lead technical architecture discussions in your area of responsibility Work with Alcon IT team to deploy the final product across multiple geography.

Guide and lead the development team from DTD and Digital enterprise,

Requirements :

This role is located in CH (Geneve, Fribourg) Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred. Basic Qualifications :

  • 10+ years as a senior functional developer Coach / Mentor and guide, and technology leader
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build coalitions across technology teams.
  • Deep experience in at least one of the following areas : Logistics, Customer Data, Sales, or Customer Care / Services technology.
  • Experience with both B2B and B2C business processes (Sales and / or Services)
  • Experience in building complicated products that span platforms and technology stacks
  • Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise and System Architecture
  • Experience leading and mentoring a technical team of developers
  • Hands on experience in developing microservices, developing on one of the major CRM / ERP systems, building data platforms for customer insights (CDPs, MDM), and integration technologies (Either event or point to point based architectures)
  • Agile experience, ideally helping a product team transform to Agile
  • Business partner experience, understanding requirements and translating to technical vision
  • Language : The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
