The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Auburn University is seeking to fill a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Statistics or Biostatistics to begin August 16, 2019.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a closely related field with research emphasis on Bioinformatics at the time employment begins.
Postdoctoral research experience with an interdisciplinary research component and strong computational skills are desirable.
The department has a PhD program and various MS programs. It has around 50 mathematicians / statisticians and more than 120 graduate students engaged in research in a wide variety of areas in mathematics and statistics.
The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the excellence of the academic community, teaching, and research.
