    Senior Sourcing Manager, Agencies &Marketing Excellence Europe

    Purpose of the role :

    The key responsibility of the Senior Sourcing Manager, Agencies & MarketingExcellence Europe is to ensure both the regional Marketingneeds are translated and understood by Marketing & Sales Procurement, andMarketing & Sales Procurement strategies are aligned with European businessstrategies in order to support top- and bottom-line growth.

    The position acts as the connective tissue between the sourcing and agencyrelationship management needs of the Europe & Eastern Europe business unitsand Global Marketing strategies for agency selection & management.

    In this role, you would :

  • act as a strategic thought leader built on a detailed understanding of tactical operations in both marketing procurement as well as marketing itself;
  • ensure service leadership of stakeholders via a fluency with procurement tools and processes, and the flexibility to know when and how to best apply them;
  • become a true business partner to key stakeholders and coach the team to do the same;
  • contribute to building an aligned global spend area strategy by representing the needs of European and Eastern European stakeholders, ensuring a strong alignment between the two;
  • collaborate with various teams to reduce complexity in ways of working and coordinating the prioritization of projects with stakeholders and resources;
  • ensure strategic plans and projects are built with clear assumptions and focus on the critical path;
  • act as the key M&S procurement representative in regional and cross-category marketing spend area meetings and by ensuring the involvement of the department in major regional customer and consumer marketing activities;
  • drive continuous improvement of marketing spend effectiveness and efficiency as measured by stakeholder-aligned metrics such as marketing ROI and agency performance improvement, and show the math that demonstrates business results;
  • establish appropriate governance to monitor execution of the above;
  • coordinate procurement excellence for key regional communication and activities across marketing spend areas;
  • lead or collaborate in the development and implementation of standardized ways of working and policies across the globe (where appropriate), defining and applying best practice.
  • Qualifications

    To be successful in thisposition, we expect you to have the following qualities :

  • Advanced university degree (preferably Business Administration / Finance / Economics / Marketing / Procurement)
  • 15+ years of professional experience in marketing procurement from at least one leading consumer packaged goods company
  • Experience managing and mentoring procurement teams
  • Experience in international / regional roles is a must
  • Business and financial acumen within Supply Chain and external markets (to the end of understanding how market forces affect supply, cost, availability, etc)
  • Experience in both direct & indirect procurement; demonstrable understanding of the key differences between them and how those differences are reflected in category strategy
  • Experience in working in international multi-functional projects and environments
  • Demonstrable mastery in procurement tools, techniques and contract structures & components
  • Ability to work alongside senior stakeholders and communicate effectively, and to develop relationships up and sideways
  • Strategic sourcing and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience in dealing with ambiguity and driving change
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel and procurement-specific RFP tools
  • Fluent English skills, Russian language will be a plus
