For our location in Bern (Switzerland) we are looking for a Laboratory Specialist in LC-MS (100%) (m / f / x) - R-142843 Role + The Bioanalytical Science Department (BAS) Research and Development is currently seeking a Laboratory Specialist to support mass spectrometry (MS) activities for the characterization of a variety of therapeutic proteins.
The successful candidate will partner with other Research and Development Associates and Scientists to develop innovative MS methodologies, direct workflows and provide technical support to enable critical process decision-making and support continuous drug development from pre-clinical to clinical study.
Basic level of experience on MS instrumentation (including maintenance, operation, data analysis ) is expected. Enthusiasm, creativity and commitment will be essential for the successful achievement of Team and organizational goals and timelines.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities : + Work independently and under the supervision of MS experts to support the development and execution of LC-MS workflows for biopharmaceutical product characterization.
Ensure close collaboration with other local and global CSL functions across the MS network. Qualifications & Experience : + Chemistry Laboratory Technician or equivalent education with at least 5 years of lab experience or BS or MS degree in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, analytical chemistry, biophysics with at least 2 years of experience in a Chemistry Lab.
Previously experience with MS data analysis is positively evaluated.+ Previous experience with additional spectroscopic techniques for protein structure-function characterization (Fluorescence Spectroscopy, FTIR, SPR, BLI etc.
