As a Principal Scientist in vivo PKS, you will have the following responsibilities but not limited to :
Plan and discuss in vivo ADME and pharmacokinetic (PK) study designs with project teams, monitor, document and report these in vivo PK studies when they are done internally or outsourced at External Service Providers (ESP), in a timely and efficient manner.
Drive and work independently, prepare study protocols in collaboration with ESPs, evaluate and interpret results, draw relevant conclusions, write or review reports, and effectively communicate results within the organization.
Manage study timelines, resources and budgets, ensures accuracy of study data within corporate databases and project tracking tools.
Independently recognize problems (technical, scientific or study related) and provide relevant input (e.g. optimize experimental parameters, propose different procedure / assay, adaption of study protocol) for solution / problem solving.
Comply strictly with Animal Welfare Regulations as well as adopts and applies 3R rules to daily business.
Be a pro-active and innovative team member, which actively contributes to development and refinements of new in vivo PK / ADME methods and technologies.
Overall, excellent collaboration, coordination and communication skills (within and outside department) are mandatory. Fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Depending on the level of expertise, train and actively mentor junior members of team. Position can be hosted in Switzerland or US East Coast Description du profil : What you'll need :
Masters or Bachelor degree or PhD in biological-related sciences or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' experience preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry or contract research organization .
Good understanding of the pharmacokinetic science, the drug discovery and development phases, as well as of the outsourcing operational excellence.
Understanding and knowledge of techniques, instrumentation, and underlying principles within in vivo ADME / PK field. Experience with various types of in vivo ADME / PK studies.
Working experience in animal experimentation is a must (animal handling, drug application, sampling), experiences in large animal PK and PKPD studies are considered as beneficial.
Competency and high interest working with different IT systems and advanced computer literacy (MS Office, SharePoint, etc.)
Curious, with high interest to continuously learn, implement and / or optimize new or existing experimental methods.
Team player with excellent communication and a collaborative mindset.
