Guides GPSDs to develop and / or coordinate relevant, fact-based, synthesized C4 local market insights (e.g. physician, payor, patient, distributor, health authorities) in market of expertise.
Foresees market trends and changes in market environment (healthcare reforms, reimbursement updates, patent situation, price cuts, etc.) that impact strategy.
Provides input to the GPSDs to create local business cases for development options throughout life cycle, including target product profiles (TPP), forecasts, pricing and market access;
highlights options that maximize product value.
Pressure tests local commercial situation analyses for the disease area and recommends plans to the GPSDs as to ensure evaluation of local commercial potential of indications and their prioritization.
Stays current regarding treatment practices, market dynamics, future trends, etc. in the TA or TAs in China.
Supports program GPSDs efforts to align global and local senior leadership behind program strategy, serving as liaison to CPO leadership if needed.
Supports GPSDs to drive local commercial input for all C4Align DDP and FDP commercial aspects for a given program and may represent CPO at C4Align sessions.
Determines local implications given program strategy (e.g. resources) and works together with GPSDs and CPOs to secure them.

PhD, MD, or other advanced University degree in Science, MBA desirable Fluent in English and Chinese "
5-10 years of professional experience within Pharmaceutical industry in China
Global pharmaceutical experience desirable (e.g. IA / rotation)
Significant knowledge of all customers, including local KOLs, physicians, patients, payors, caregivers and health authorities.
Knowledge of competitors, as well as current and potential future business partners in the Japanese market.
Proven experience / understanding of drug development process
Experience in commissioning market research and synthesizing concise recommendations from market research data
Knowledge of organizational dynamics in CPO China desirable
Strategic planning, management consulting, VC, BD&L and / or other finance / analytical experience preferred
