EPD has established an Analytics Center of Excellence which will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of an Enterprise Analytics solution servicing over 20 countries across EPD functional areas.
Primary Job Function :
Technical implementation of strategic digital roadmap developed in coordination with functional architect
Maintenance and operation of digital ecosystem in accordance with Abbott standards
Provide technical expertise to EPD IT Digital team, functional & business counterparts as input to digital roadmaps.
Conduct analysis of EPD IT digital platforms against business strategy to determine technology suitability and capability gaps.
Hold digital partners (internal & external) accountable through challenge and validation of proposed solutions to ensure optimal technology platforms and solution delivered for Abbott.
Code review for configuration and development of solutions to ensure best practices and optimal development
Core Job Responsibilities :
Technical expert in digital implementation, including web + mobile development, hosting, maintenance; process automation;
and connection of devices into networks to consume and integrate data
Cross-functional implementation of digital initiatives, especially outside of commercial function
Accountable for ensuring EPD digital assets are compliant with all applicable global privacy, cybersecurity, and quality regulations
Validate all proposed technologies, platforms, and solutions against business capabilities roadmap, Abbott policies, and current / planned digital technology stack to ensure interoperability, scalability, compliance, security, and optimal TCO
Oversee digital technical development and operations services for EPD digital solutions managed globally by EPD IT, including guiding internal and external partners in operations support, troubleshooting issues, deploying updates & patches, applying plugins, maintaining certificates, etc.
Work with internal and external digital partners to ensure continuous service and usability of internal and customer-facing digital solutions (e.
g. web and mobile applications), including escalation management and troubleshooting of issues
Accountable for push to prod , including testing and release of code by vendors / partners
Maintain current EPD digital asset inventory and ensure compliance with global Abbott solution life cycle (SLC) policies.
Prepare for and coordinate internal (EPD) / external (BTS) audits.
Manage vendor adherence to operations contracts and SOWs. Act as day-to-day vendor liaison, ensuring smooth operations with no disruption to business, including overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of digital platforms via issue ticket submission, tracking, and resolution.
Communication of operational status and risks / issues to business stakeholders and IT leadership
Liaise with BTS counterparts to leverage corporate digital services and delivery teams for division implementation
Minimum Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar
Minimum Experience / Training Required :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Project and program management experience delivering digital solutions. Proven experience directing vendors in implementation
Able to articulate best practices in design of web and mobile solutions, integrating multiple cloud platforms to deliver on business outcomes
Know how to operationalize microservices within the scope of the remit
Kanban, Scrum, Servlets, serverless technology, API engagement, platform integration (SF, Adobe, WordPress) in service of customer-facing digital channels at Abbott
Experience outside of Life Sciences Commercial function (e.g. Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or cross-industry experience, etc.) a plus
Proven experience in designing & hosting customer-facing digital assets, including web sites and custom mobile applications.
Ability to review and evaluate digital platforms and solutions for implementation, and provide recommendations on proposed solutions to best align with Abbott digital strategy
Understanding of global cybersecurity regulations and privacy, including GDPR, to ensure solutions are built to protect Abbott data and Abbott customer data, especially in the case of PII and PHI (Privacy by Design)
Familiar with Software Quality Assurance processes to validate vendor compliance with governmental regulations, design best practices, and Abbott policy
Experience with WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, Bitrix a plus
Certified in any SAP module, minimum of two full implementation cycles.
A solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and contemporary design patterns / practices
Support new business development opportunities with emphasis on experience delivery platforms including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign, AWS Lambda, AWS Lex.
Detailed understating of : Cloud-based technologies and services (Amazon Web Services : S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift)Visualization technologies e.
g. Fiori, Power BI etcSQL and databases e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, PostgreSQLExperience implementing Adobe Experience Manager Solution for web and mobile.
Strong experience in ETL processes and automation, Redshift, Power BI and related technologies.
