You join an interdisciplinary DevOps team of engineers, developers, and data scientists. Together, we develop and run the in-house Big Data monitoring and anomaly detection platform.

You are always looking for opportunities to automate daily operations and increase the reliability of our systems. Leveraging your creativity, you increase the resilience of data processing pipelines and keep the uptime of our Druid.

Improving the CI / CD of our OSS tools and our own software products is part of your routine. "Polyglot" is how you make use of current technologies and keep the operations footprint low.

In collaboration with your team, you optimize the performance and reliability of our microservices.

Why you succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (ETH / Uni / UAS) in computer science or a similar field or relevant industry experience
  • Strong Linux operation background
  • Excellent skills in continuous integration and delivery, automation, and scripting (Python / Go and Bash, Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Excellent knowledge of operating distributed systems / databases - e.g. Druid.io, good knowledge of SQL Experience monitoring and performance tuning of software applications and data pipelines (Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
  • Hands-on experience with microservice architectures, REST, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Kafka internals and CEPH is a plus
  • Willing to be on call
  • Pragmatic, proactive, communicative, and solution-oriented personality
  • Very good English, German or French a plus
