Your area of responsibility
Overall responsibility for and leadership over the global team for assigned commodities
Definition and execution of the global commodity strategy based on the maxon group strategy in close cooperation with the global Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)
Maintenance of the global purchase matrix and approved supplier list for the assigned commodity
Evaluation, qualification and development of suppliers with the aim of purchasing parts, assemblies or finished products on the international market
Supplier scouting in cooperation with strategic buyers based on supply market and requirements
Supplier visits in close corporation with Strategic Buyer and Global SQE
Negotiation and release of supplier contracts (supply contracts, T&C, NDA, CoC for supplier)

Your profile
Technical education (university of applied sciences / technical college)
Several years of professional experience as commodity manager
Good skills in using MS Office and an ERP system
Ability to work in a global team and intercultural expertise
Very good knowledge of English as well as good knowledge of German
Willingness to travel up to 40%
