  • Reporting to the Head of Public & Employee Communications - Diagnostics, you are accountable for driving the development of strategy and implementation of reputation and issue management for the division.
  • In close alignment with relevant Communication functions you will guide a virtual team to deliver integrated communications programmes designed to proactively position Roche and address key issues and business critical topics that engage and align employees and external stakeholders.
  • You will champion and embed the Roche reputation strategy and goals by providing direction and leadership to other Diagnostics Communicators.
  • You will own and manage the issue / crisis communication process for Roche Diagnostics and coach team members and affiliate communicators to set, define and implement regional / affiliate strategy to protect and manage the reputation.
  • You are responsible for providing guidance on reputation and issue management to affiliate communicators, and you are the go-
  • to person in case of issues / crisis that could impact the company’s reputation in close collaboration with Group Communications and other global functions.

  • University degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism, fluency in English (written and spoken) and 8-10 years of professional experience in corporate communications / public affairs roles on local / affiliate and regional / global level;
  • PR agency experience a plus.

  • Good knowledge of the Healthcare and / or Diagnostics or related industry, business acumen, intercultural understanding and experience in working across all levels of the organisation
  • Solid understanding of communications practices and disciplines, broad experience in issues management is essential, reputation or brand building an advantage
  • Solid track record of presenting to and coaching senior company executives / audiences and a demonstrable background in developing, driving and implementing multi-
  • stakeholder communications programmes and engagement strategies around critical topics

  • Leadership experience, specifically managing matrix teams and leading cross-functional projects, ideally in a global environment.
