Your field of responsibility

Operational Resilience (OR) is the ability of the bank’s critical business services to withstand, adapt and recover from severe but plausible disruptions.

The CTOO Enterprise Resilience team is working to enhance the firm’s operational resilience as well as the existing Business Continuity Management (BCM) capabilities.

We are looking for an individual to provide the thought and operational leadership of the planning and assessment process, supporting the development of the overall future state team and function.

This challenging and demanding role gives the following opportunities :

Delivery and Execution

  • Be the primary lead for the assessment execution and planning within the Operational Resilience team, working with colleagues across Credit Suisse Divisions and Corporate Functions to ensure delivery milestones and regulatory deliverables are met.
  • Lead and drive the critical business service dependency mapping, impact tolerance definition, severe but plausible scenario and recovery tests.
  • Facilitate the definition and agreement of the necessary remedial actions such that critical business services can remain within impact tolerance.
  • Track and report remediation progress.

    People and Team Management

  • Support the development and establish the new assessment team within the Enterprise Resilience Team.
  • Recruit, develop and retain high caliber colleagues within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff providing career development planning and opportunities.
  • Overall

  • Support the development of the Resilience function, embedding the core concepts as well as the team within the firm’s Divisions and Corporate Functions.
  • Ensure compliance with BCM and OR regulatory expectations, policy guidelines, ensuring that relevant controls and procedures as well as maintaining artefacts are documented.
  • Ensure updates and reporting regarding progress and outcomes to senior leadership team and local entity boards on a regular basis.

    Your skills and experience

    We are looking for :

  • An experienced professional with an excellent understanding of financial services business (), IT and operations processes.
  • An understanding of the Credit Suisse Divisions, Regions and Legal Entity structure would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of non-financial frameworks such as business continuity management, crisis management, information security, third party management as well as the key regulatory standards in relation to business continuity management and operational resilience.
  • Excellent execution / implementation skills as well as strong analytical skills. Experience in managing medium-scale projects (including planning and tracking), ability to interrogate and analyze data as well as process improvement / optimization required.
  • Proven track record at a senior level within a financial / regulated service organization, with team leadership and management responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in building a capability and / or function within financial institutions an advantage.
  • Outstanding communication, written, administrative and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure.
  • A self-starter and fast learner with creative problem solving skills and a high energy level, flexibility and a positive can do’ attitude;
  • able to operate in a still evolving new area of regulatory and senior management focus.
