The Senior Manager of Market Access and Reimbursement, EMEIA will lead Varian’s market access strategies across the region.

  • This field-based role reports to the VP of Reimbursement and Market Access and is focused upon Health Economic, Reimbursement and Market Access support of Varian products;
  • specifically, present in-market and future products in radiation oncology, interventional oncology, and software solutions, as well as planning for pipeline products.

    Senior Manager of Market Access EMEIAThe Senior Manager of Market Access and Reimbursement, EMEIA will lead Varian’s market access strategies across the region.

  • This field-based role reports to the VP of Reimbursement and Market Access and is focused upon Health Economic, Reimbursement and Market Access support of Varian products;
  • specifically, present in-market and future products in radiation oncology, interventional oncology, and software solutions, as well as planning for pipeline products.

    This is an accountable and visible position which requires interaction with colleagues at all levels throughout the organization, and close partnership working with colleagues at a global, regional and country level.

    The role demands strong project management experience and confidence in shaping, recommending and implementing strategy across a variety of teams.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement Market Access strategies and programs / models / tools to support products regionally Collaborate with all business segments to provide critical Market Access input regarding research projects, and new product developmentCollaborate with Regulatory, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Sales and Marketing to establish priorities, strategies and processes to create compelling Market Access strategies for products and / or therapies Be actively involved in building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and industry groups Serve as the primary source for Market Access support for the EMEIA sales team and customersWorking with global, regional and country colleagues, support HTA submissions in key markets and execute all other country-specific processes necessary for securing coding, coverage / funding and payment.

  • Ensure strong alignment between Global Reimbursement & Market Access and new product planning on current and future evidence generationMaintain and deepen a sound understanding of relevant Reimbursement & Market Access criteria and processes and the likely payer perception of the product value proposition for Varian products in key marketsRequirements : Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an economic discipline or equivalent advanced degreeProfessional qualifications in one of the following areas would be desirable but not essential : Economics;
  • Health Economics; Health Policy; Healthcare Management etc.Experienced professional with an excellent and practical understanding of Market Access and Reimbursement in the regionStrong understanding of Health Economic principles and the ability to assimilate and simplify data and concepts effectivelyExcellent communication skills and ability to work with customers and stakeholders at all levelsCommercial insight and acumen with strong industry experience;
  • ability to identify opportunities and effectively develop and deploy solutionsExcellent project management skillsPreferably work experience gained at a European or International levelDeep experience with market access requirements in Germany, UK or France;
  • experience in other countries is preferable.Enthusiastic team player and a passionate individual who wants to make a difference, both to the company and to patients who benefit from innovative treatmentsTravel requirements : Willing to travel 30-50% of the timeDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex business challenges and recommendations to senior leaders#LI-Corp1Fighting cancer calls for big ideas.
