Business Development Manager, SEA for Healthcare IT Software Sales

BC Platforms is looking for a seasoned Business Development professional to join our APAC sales team in Singapore. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer in the region you will leverage key account based relationships and experience to drive software platform sales in the healthcare & life science space.

You will work alongside senior management and both internal and external partners to set our commercial strategy for the region.

Your responsibilities revolve around developing new business and managing key accounts. Revenue generation and continued strong growth will be the focus of this position.

What you will be working on :

  • Managing, planning and driving the development of key healthcare and life science accounts in the region
  • Building long term commercial plans for agreed upon key accounts
  • Becoming a trusted advisor through consultative selling techniques
  • Selling to C-Suite, Physicians, Researchers, IT, Procurement, Clinical laboratories
  • Working well on both small (100k) and large (>
  • 2M) deals

  • Generating leads in a new market
  • Researching complex organizations and position our solutions to address customer pain points
  • Developing use cases for new prospective customers and drive tactical plan toward deal close
  • Performing effective sales presentations
  • Negotiating pricing and contractual agreements
  • Ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
  • Working with our solution team to craft and deliver high-quality responses to RFPs
  • Prospecting and developing key senior-level relationships within the sector
  • Continuously learning and developing relevant industry skills
  • Maintaining relationships with our external partners
  • The ideal candidate should possess :

    Professional experience and track record :

  • 5-7 years of experience in business development and / or sales
  • Knowledge of genomics, bioinformatics, healthcare or related field
  • Experience and success in positioning complex technology or data solutions to drug developers
  • Understanding of the drug development lifecycle and clinical healthcare space and their stakeholder ecosystems
  • Understanding of applications of genomics to drug development or healthcare segment
  • Successful track record of selling data and software solutions within the healthcare market
  • Experience in the healthcare market and existing contacts within hospital systems in the SEA region highly preferred
  • Proven history of excellent account management, enterprise selling, negotiation and deal-closing skills
  • Expert knowledge of sales planning, prospecting and business development
  • Advanced strategic thinking and project management skills
  • Other knowledge and capabilities :

  • Excellent leadership qualities required
  • Self motivated with strong organizational skills and high desire to succeed
  • Disciplined, motivated and able to drive her / himself in daily sales tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving often-changing environment
  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google slides) and Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, word, excel)
  • Experience with SalesForce.com or similar CRM tool
  • Education and language :

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Pharmacy or in a related field, Master s Degree preferred
  • Fluent in English

    BC Platforms offices are based in Singapore, Helsinki, Zurich, and Boston, requiring flexibility in scheduling meetings across geographies.

    Travel expected, including international travel, up to 50% of the time. Travel is after Covid-19 situation is secured during 2021.
