Entreprise : OMSDescription du poste : OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMMEThe overall objective (purpose / mission) of the Transformation Implementation and Change Office (TIC) is to facilitate and monitor the implementation of WHO's Transformation Agenda.

  • The specific functions of the TIC office are to : a) Lead, shape, and facilitate the implementation of WHO's corporate approach for organizational change and continuous improvement;
  • b) Coordinate, track and report progress of change initiatives; c) Catalyze, incubate, and support special priority initiatives (where needed), and d) Facilitate implementation of related change management, knowledge management and communications activities.

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESWithin the framework of the delegated authority, the incumbent will : 1. Develop and manage the project portfolio of WHO's transformation agenda and continuous improvement work, and facilitate engagement with internal and external partners to ensure the timely achievement of transformation deliverables including, where necessary, through guiding course corrections.

    2. Work closely with Senior Managers and Business Owners across the organization to ensure the coordination, monitoring and implementation of Transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

    3. Manage and analyze critical interdependencies between and across Transformation initiatives to help optimize synergies such that Transformation objectives are achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

    4. Develop new, innovative and organizationally appropriate change strategies and tools to help ensure the achievement of Transformation objectives through the identification and analysis of bottlenecks / constraints and the provision of guidance on solutions to relevant decision-makers (e.

    g. Transformation Steering Committee, business owners).5. Develop new change management strategies and provide direct support to Senior Managers and Business Owners to promote the structural and behavioral changes needed to support their implementation.

    6. Conduct implementation / progress monitoring and ensure timely reporting for decision-makers.7. Support the Senior Advisor and other members of the TIC Office in the development of communications and related materials as needed (e.

    g. briefing notes, PowerPoint presentations).8. Participate on behalf of WHO and the Transformation Implementation and Change Office in relevant internal and external events.

    9. Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducationEssential : An advanced level university degree (Master's level or above) in Business Administration, Management, a health technical area (such as public health) or another field related to the tasks of the position.

    Desirable : Post-graduate coursework and / or certificate in project / portfolio management, change management or communications.

    ExperienceEssential : A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in project / portfolio management or partnership development / coordination in the field of public health.

    Demonstrated experience at the international level.Desirable : Experience working in a regional context and / or experience working in low income settings an asset.

    Experience in change management processes and practices an asset.SkillsStrong technical skills and background in public health.

    Highly effective in project management and planning and change management. Effective working relations with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.

    Strong skills and expertise in providing analytical support to Senior level decision makers. Excellent organizational, writing and speaking (including presentation) skills.

    Excellent skills in computer applications (e.g. advanced PowerPoint and Excel). Data analysis and data visualization skills.

    Desirable : Intermediate knowledge of French.REMUNERATIONWHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars.

    The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 73,516 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 5324 per month for the duty station indicated above.

    Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.
