Your day to day’ As a Scientist In Vitro Pharmacology and Assay development, under the guidance of the Manager of the Assay Development team, you will be responsible for setting up complex cell culture models and establish cell-free and cell-based assays, work with cutting edge technologies related to mechanistic systems toxicology questions, as well as interact closely with disease specialists and experimental scientists. More specifically, you'll
Perform cell culture work (primary cells, cell lines, co-cultures and 3D-organotypic models) and perform biochemical & molecular endpoint assays.
Support establishment of in vitro (cell-free and cell-based) models to achieve our objectives regarding various disease areas and establish medium / high through-put cell-based assay with a view toward automation for screening campaigns.
Participate in the design of new in vitro assays for mechanistic read-outs and toxicology including literature search.
Write proposals and generating presentations for project teams. Establish collaborations with specialists in the field to keep abreast of the latest available technologies.
Contribute upon request to publication of research results in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, and other types of external scientific and regulatory communications. Who we’re looking for
Master’s Degree or PhD
Substantial professional experience with hands-on in vitro experience, within the pharmaceutical or food industry
Demonstrated knowledge in relevant biological areas including cell biology, biochemistry, toxicology, pharmacology. Sound technical expertise in cell culture, imaging and high-throughput assays.
Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
