As part of the Basel Site Finance and Controlling department (PSF), the Site Controlling Team is the strategic business partner to the Basel Site leadership team, including the Site CAPEX budget, providing the infrastructure on the campus.
Based in Basel, and reporting to the Head of Infrastructure Controlling Basel / Kaiseraugst, you are responsible Business Partner for Real Estate Management.
Through a focus on agile ways of working, empowered decision-making within the Finance organization, you will be part of continuously improving our operating model to increase effectiveness.
You are somebody who can partner in discussions beyond Finance, is able to challenge, act as economic advisor and have the mindset to drive change.
You see across areas to identify the best resource allocation, considering short term gains and long term potential. You facilitate the ideation process and help various stakeholders and departments collaborate on executing the ideas.
Further main responsibilities include :
Driving transformation by embedding agile ways of working, creative mindsets, and applying a rigorous focus on the highest impact and value work through collaboration
Provide financial guidance to senior management of respective functions through forward-looking, decision relevant and challenging business analysis and scenario planning.
Guide the function to achieve financial targets
Clarifying financial guidance, guiding prioritization and steering decisions in the best interest of maximizing Roche value
Ensures implementation of decisions through the controlling network
Identifying true value drivers and contributing to organizational effectiveness across the function
Pro-active support to the business through long-range scenario planning, business cases and impact analysis for the overall site financial situation, including simulations on the future infrastructure effectiveness of the site organization
Strategic navigation of the site infrastructure investments of 500mCHF p.a. in line with the needs of the overall Roche Group requirements
Partner with the CoFi to support global investment strategies
Derive strategic impact for the handling of infrastructure burden through active collaboration with Group Accounting
Who you are
You have a University Degree in Finance and / or Accounting and 2 to 5 years of work experience, ideally in pharmaceutical industries.
During your career you have demonstrated a strong performance in a complex and fast-paced cross-cultural environment. You have a track record of excellent business partnering, a strong customer service orientation, leadership as well as the ability to set-up effective and efficient processes.
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with competing priorities and frequent tight deadlines.
In addition, you will bring the following skills and experience :
Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization and effectively influence
Think holistic and strategically, be agile with a pragmatic approach and be comfortable working in a VUCA environment
Open-minded, dedicated personality, showing initiative and sense of urgency (Lateral) leadership and / or project management experience is a plus
Have an entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen with a high degree of curiosity and passion, looking for continuous improvement and ready to challenge the status quo
Self-starter and highly proactive. Ability to work independently, setting goals and tasks, excellent organizational skills
Fluent in German and English
