For our Operations team within Schroder Investment (Switzerland) AG (SIMSAG), we are looking for a

Middle Office Specialist / ILS

Job description :

  • Provide and coordinate operational support to the ILS investment desk with internal and external counterparties
  • Manage the OTC transaction execution process
  • Responsible for the control & oversight of the operational administration of the ILS portfolios
  • Analysis, control and management of data for internal and external reporting
  • Monitor the quality of services delegated to third parties (quality of delivery of services delegated and compliance with Service Level Agreements)
  • Liaise and closely cooperate with the insurance manager and Schroders interfaces on trustee related tasks (trust funding, KYC, monitoring of trustee counterparty limits and fees, selection of eligible collateral investments and collateral roll-over).
  • Regular contact with internal and external parties; assisting others in activities such as selling, maintaining client / supplier relationships
  • Coordinate, participate and lead projects such as implementation of operational changes, process developments and product onboarding
  • Required profile

  • University degree or equivalent
  • At least 3+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably in asset management and / or (re-) insurance
  • Very good numerical and analytical skills. Accounting background would be a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel. Knowledge of PowerBI (or similar) would be a plus.
  • Integrity and ability to interact with colleagues in a firm and professional manner.
  • Problem solving attitude and ability to perform well under pressure and against tight deadline
  • Ability to communicate detailed and complex concepts and ideas in a concise and clear manner
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus
