The engineering group in Lausanne is involved in many innovation activities that require a system vision and an advanced understanding of radiocommunication systems and signal processing.
In particular for this position we are looking also at knowhow and experience in the field of optical communication and photonics integration technology.
As an Optical Engineer, you'll collaborate with the innovation / engineering team from various Viasat locations to brainstorm and design innovative communication systems potentially applicable to our future satellites.
The work will encompass also the design of testbeds to validate design assumptions and variations. In this role you will deal with system conception driven by the optimization of the full satcom chain with respect to major parameters like performances, cost, power consumption and system complexity on ground and in space.
You will also contribute to build analysis tool to perform analysis and trade-offs.
