    For our Quality Department in Winterthur / Switzerland (Zurich area), we are looking for a

    Quality Control Inspector (m / f)

    Your tasks

    You mainly act as QC focal point for projects in the execution phase. Thus, you take over various operational tasks such as e.

    g. the execution of all tasks related to Quality Control in alignment with the responsible project quality engineer and project manager, according to the project requirements.

    The focus will lie on polymer, crystallization and process plant technology. This includes QC tasks at suppliers for process key equipment, mechanical / fabricated and rotating equipment, such as, witness the inspection of goods receipt incoming goods, weld joint preparation (VT, PT or MT), volumetric NDE activities (RT, UT), leak-tests, and pressure tests.

    Furthermore, you perform intermediate and / or final inspections (FAT incl. VT, check of documentation according to the manufacturer’s data book), review RT films, and perform inspections and witness other tests according to the supplier’s inspection and test plan (ITP).

    In addition, you support and contribute to projects other than specifically allocated, take over and lead clearly defined quality tasks on behalf of the project quality engineer, and support expediting, procurement and project management to monitor the supply chain (time, quality, documents and material).

    Your profile

  • Technical background, preferably in the area of pressure equipment or rotating machinery (e.g. in Design, Manufacturing, Quality, or similar.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QC / as inspector
  • Technical skills Excellent knowledge about Pressure Vessel Design Codes (ASME VIII, EN 13445, AD2000, ASME B31.3) Good knowledge in metallic materials applied as per design codes Good knowledge in Inspection of rotating equipment (pumps, etc.
  • Level 2 certified as per ISO 9792 for VT, PT, MT, RT, UT, LT Certified weld joint inspector or welding engineer

  • Solid skills in MS Office and SharePoint
  • Fluent in English and German skills. Any other European language is an advantage
  • Good communication skills with various internal and external interlocutors
  • Team-player
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 70% (mainly in Europe), sometimes at short notice, confident communication at suppliers’ places
