We are looking for a security researcher with experience in cryptography who enjoys working with experts breaking new ground in cybersecurity.
A focus of this role is on identifying weaknesses in implementations, architectures, and protocols for customers, as well as published research and open-
source contributions. As part of the research team, you will also develop intellectual property and provide services to our clients increasing the reputation of Kudelski Security.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated and creative, and can generate new project ideas along with their expected outcome, such as a conference talk or a new tool.
Furthermore, this person is expected to contribute to Kudelski Security’s public outreach, including blog posts, whitepapers, conference presentations and PR outreach.
The right candidate will be confident working directly with client and internal executives for deliverable reviews and requirements gathering.

Source code and architecture reviews of cryptographic implementations
Generate actionable findings from review activities
Generate viable research projects from your own ideas or from other researchers and engineers
Identify areas of interest for further research and development
Scope and level of effort estimation for cryptographic services
Manage the lifecycle of research projects, defining milestones for success and failure
Represent Kudelski Security in public forums (blogs, conferences, journals) through original publications
Mentor team members in your area of expertise

Requirements / Profile
Proven experience in security research and / or cryptography (such as blog posts, published source code, CVEs, etc.).
Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information security or related field of study
Strong knowledge of C(++) and / or assembly, experience with a modern language such as Go, Haskell, Rust, or Scala
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interface effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
Nice to have
Experience with various blockchain technologies, in particular Ethereum and smart contracts
Hyperledger experience also a plus
Experience prototyping ideas
Experience conducting structured assessments, including those of products
Presentation experience at leading cybersecurity conferences
Experience with patents and invention disclosure
